Kennedy, Ken Salazar, Sherrod Brown, John Kerry, Bernie Sanders, Robert Byrd, Amy Klobuchar, Debbie Stabenow, Benjamin Cardin, Mary Landrieu, Jon Tester, Tom Carper, Frank Lautenberg, Jim Webb, Bob Casey, Patrick Leahy, Sheldon Whitehouse, Carl Levin, & Ron Wyden all turned away from the business of the nation to instead smear a private citizen, forty-one of them sent a letter demanding the “repudiation” of their inaccurate interpretation of Rush Limbaugh’s comments regarding “phony soldiers.” Keep in mind that Rush has the #1 listened to radio show in the nation.

A: It’s incredibly amusing, kind of like someone walking along and smacking the 41 baboons who signed this letter every time someone mentions it on a blog or in the tradition media.

Rush got the letter from his boss or whatever the guy at Clear Channel is and announced he was going to auction it off on eBay and give the money to a charity, the
“Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation encourages the spiritual, moral and intellectual development of children through education. The Foundation was formed in February 1995, by former Marines and law enforcement personnel who strongly believe that our nation’s most precious resource is its youth.”
When I first heard of the auction I checked it out as I thought it was a great idea. It was at about $40,000 at that time. Now with a little over an hour left on the auction it is at $2,100,100! I can’t think of a more fitting chain of event than this. Oh I’m sure the liberals, lefties, moonbats or [insert designator of your choosing here] will soon be calling it a publicity stunt. I want to know why at least two aspiring Presidents signed something without knowing about it’s accuracy or willing signed something knowing it was on false information.
However, the end result of Lettergate appears to be at least a couple million dollars worth of college scholarships for children of fallen Marines and Law Enforcement officers. For that I must definitely thank Rush Limbaugh for turning a stunning example of elected ignorance and spite into a wonderful gift for those that need it as well as bringing more to an organizaztion that has already given out about $29 million. This auction it seems will bring at least $2,100,000 more to that number. With about an hour left who knows what could happen.
