When I was a small child I decided I was a Republican while following the 1979 elections. I was impressed with Ronald Reagan then and throughout his two terms as President of the United States. In my lifetime I don’t think there has been a better leader and I have been hoping to see one come along. This election brings hope for me in the form of Fred Thompson, who I feel would be very close to what we had with Reagan.

Reagan did pretty well in 8 yrs as President, but alot of his budget cuts made him look like a cold person to alot of Americans. Alot of the budget cut money was used to rebuild the us military that was not updated under Jimmy Carter, the money had to come from somewhere, so the poorest of the poor paid the price, asot of social programs were reduced or even shut down. NOW comes the real part of ME !!! Im really not to concerned with social program cuts ! Im not too concerned about the Unemployment changes (now only 6mos of U.C.) unlike the 1-2 yrs of benifits some people collected back then ! Social people need to stand on their own 2 feet like the majority of us do everyday, there’s days Im not really up to doing my job, but I must, I cant complain– Gee Captain Im not feeling too well today, can I just sit around and get paid… Gee Captain, Im not too happy that those people are shooting at me, can I go home and sit on my ass all day and watch tv and drink beer all day…
Reagan also took alot away from Vets like my father and grandfather and uncles and so on… We bit the stick and took it like men, unlike those Social Welfare people, it needed to be done to make America a stronger and better nation, to help alot of Americans to finally stand on their own 2 feet…
Those who dont like or care for my comments must understand that THE people of the U.S.A. are the ones who make it a great nation, but it could be an even greater nation if all the dead beats would get off their lazy asses and start giving back to the nation thats supported you for years maybe even generations…

Yea, left the States late last week alot of paperwork in N.C. then off. There is going to be alot of changes around here, lax security and shit like that, poor attitude of the civilian guards, one actually had the nerve to tell me to take a drink from a bottle I was carrying, his tune changed when I showed him my ID and Report Papers, so in essence I told him that he works for ME and if he likes his job he better be more polite to ALL people not just the Americans and stop being so rude… Hmmm, what have these young Marines gotten themselfs into, one young Marine told me I remind him of Clint Eastwood, I just replyed that hes a pussy and Im the real deal… Its going to be interesting being back in MÜNCHEN…. So I’ll try to keep up with your posts and try to give the best responces I can to the issues at hand…….. Semper Fi

I’m not sure how I feel about Freddy yet. The latest debate kind of annoyed me because he seemed so indirect with so many questions. Also…he rambled. I can’t stand rambling. Oddly enough, even as a Ron Paul supporter, I was incredibly impressed with McCain. If anything, I’d grab a beer with the fellow. He is VERY direct and to the point, which is the mark of a solid individual no matter how you look at it.
