Democrats Convince Charlie to try Socialized Health Care

At 11:56 a.m. this morning, President Obama signed the health care takeover into law, turning one-sixth of our economy over to the federal government and striping even more freedom away from We the People.  So now that ObamaCare has been shoved down our throats its time for the propaganda to start making us like it.

The Washington Post reported on Monday that President Obama will begin an “immediate public relations blitz aimed at turning around Americans’ opinion of the health-care bill.”

The newspaper said the P.R. effort will proceed in three stages: the immediate aftermath of passage, the months leading up to the midterm election in November; and the next few years leading up to the 2012 presidential election.

My former Governor turned everyone’s problem, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, seems to think people “will be happy” with the legislation as they learn more about it. I think it is the opposite. Almost everyone I know has become more unhappy with this monstrosity the more they learn about it.

However, for those looking for a handout the propaganda has already worked. For them it is going to “[PDF]be like Christmas“.

Durham, N.C. — Uninsured Triangle residents said Monday that they eagerly await the overhaul of the nation’s health care system.

“It’s just going to be like Christmas,” said DeCarlo Flythe, who lost health coverage for his family when he was laid off almost three years ago. “It’s going to be great. You know, no worries (about) the bills. We are going to go ahead and pay our co-pay and be alright.”

Flythe, a diabetic, said he checked into buying a policy for his family, but he couldn’t afford it. He recently landed another job, but the new benefits haven’t kicked in yet.

“I worry day to day, honestly,” he said. “I pray to make sure my child or my wife don’t’ get sick because, if they go to the hospital, we are looking at a couple of thousand (dollars in bills).”

The common theme here is that no one was denied coverage, they just had to pay for it or get a bill and not pay it. So the solution of course is to strip away freedom and raise taxes on everyone. I guess the propaganda does work on some.

Canadian Health Care is so good: N.L. Premier Williams comes to U.S. for heart surgery

While trying to force a lousy socialist health care system on Americans, our politicians have never ran off to Canada for treatment. At least not that I know of. Meanwhile Canadian politicians DO come to the U.S. for treatment.

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams will undergo heart surgery later this week in the United States.

Deputy premier Kathy Dunderdale confirmed the treatment at a news conference Tuesday, but would not reveal the location of the operation or how it would be paid for.

“He has gone to a renowned expert in the procedure that he needs to have done,” said Ms. Dunderdale, who will become acting premier while Mr. Williams is away for three to 12 weeks.

“In consultation with his own doctors, he’s decided to go that route.”

Mr. Williams’ decision to leave Canada for the surgery has raised eyebrows over his apparent shunning of Canada’s health-care system.

“It was never an option offered to him to have this procedure done in this province,” said Ms. Dunderdale, refusing to answer whether the procedure could be done elsewhere in Canada.

Which brings me to my question of the day: If we kill the U.S. health care system with an infection of government, where are the Canadians going to go for care?

I almost laugh when I hear people says things like this, then I realize they are serious and my head starts to hurt.

So remember “this is what republicans do, this is what they do” – I must have missed the memo sent out planning to send a guy with explosive underwear aboard a plane with hundreds of people on it to “embarrass” Obama.

Universal Breakfast

Because breakfast is a right not a privilege. Its just not fair that some people get to eat ever so tasty sugar coated grain in the morning while others are left to fend for themselves and have to fight armed rats for scraps of cardboard to eat.

Never mind that the scraps of cardboard probably come from the 50″ plasma TV purchased in lieu of food with money that did not even get considered for use on the mortgage payment. Never mind that the family has a $675,000 home with an adjustable rate mortgage but only earns $26,000 a year – we have bailouts for that. Some people have better things to spend their barely earned McDonald’s paychecks or welfare payments on. Such as crack or cable television.

But hey, what am I complaining about? Where would I ever get the idea that those who have wealth would be allowed to keep it instead of supporting a welfare state with an ever increasing tax burden?

Don’t blame me America

Its been two years that we have had to put up with this obnoxious presidential election. With much of it consisting of the media tripping over themselves to praise Obama and attack anyone who dare speak ill of their chosen one or worse yet ask him a question.
