Fitna the Movie - Geert Wilders’ film about the Quran

I’ve decided to join the crowd of those that have a copy of Fitna posted. I’ll wait to see if I too get some persuasion from the “ of Peace” to remove it.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the as an “offensively anti-Islamic film”, “hate speech” and “incitement to violence.”

Following is the text of the statement by UN SG Ban Ki-moon on the film :

I condemn, in the strongest terms, the airing of ’ offensively anti-Islamic film. There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence. The right of free expression is not at stake here. I acknowledge the efforts of the of the Netherlands to stop the broadcast of this film, and appeal for calm to those understandably offended by it. must always be accompanied by social responsibility.

The United Nations is the centre of the world’s efforts to advance mutual respect, understanding and dialogue. We must also recognize that the real fault line is not between and Western societies, as some would have us believe, but between small minorities of extremists on different sides with a vested interest in stirring hostility and conflict.

It baffles the mind to think that pointing out that has violent roots in the is considered an “incitement to violence”. If it’s untrue then how is it inciting violence from such a “peaceful?

It’s sad to see the LiveLeak pulled due to threats of violence along with a few others around the net. However, it’s encouraging to see the growing number of sites that have it posted in spite of (or perhaps due to) the threats and elsewhere.

David Horowitz - Turning the University Around

David Horowitz was one of the founders of the New in the 1960s and the editor of its most influential magazine, Ramparts. He is the author, with Peter Collier, of a number of bestselling dynastic biographies on the Rockefellers, the Kennedys, the Fords, and the Roosevelts. With Collier he also wrote Destructive Generation (1989), a chronicle of their break with the 1960s , that has been compared to Whittaker Chambers’ Witness and other classic works documenting a break from totalitarianism.

Among Horowitz’s more recent books are: Radical Son (1996), a memoir tracing his odyssey from “red-diaper baby” to conservative activist that George Gilder described as “the first great autobiography of his generation”; Uncivil Wars (2002), which chronicles his crusade against intolerance and racial McCarthyism on college campuses; Illusions (2003), a one-volume course on the history of our time from the Cold War to the war on terror; Unholy Alliance (2004), which examines the pact between radical and the American ; and The : the 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America (2006), which reveals a shocking and perverse culture of academics who are poisoning the minds of today’s college students. Horowitz is also the author of The of Bad Faith, How to Beat the , and The Art of Political War. The latter was described by White House political strategist Karl Rove as “the perfect guide to winning on the political battlefield.”

US Senate Visiting Smear Letter Post

I just wrote about the Harry Reid Smear letter and Rush Limbaugh’s auction a couple of hours ago. Thus far the response has been overwhelming, emails, comments etc. etc.. What is most interesting to me though is who the visitors are. I am obsessed with stats, so much so in fact that I check the server logs after some stories to see what response I get and who is looking. Today I found that within an hour of posting a story about the US I have a bunch of visitors on the site from the US . Now there are also visits from a barrackobama.com and hillaryclinton.com, maybe before it’s done I will have visits from all 41 from .

Conspiracy theories are not really my thing but it is interesting to see the interest the US has in this story. After all it does make at least 41 of them look very foolish including two presidential . Oh, did I say that? By the way, this is an excellent example of influencing our elected officials.

A quick message to the US visitors:

Welcome to Malagent.com - Senator , & others, I’m glad you decided to visit and I know my loyal readers would love to hear your views on this fascinating story. If you are one of the 41 Signators we would like to know if you are going to match ’s donation? Have you ever thought that stunts like this combined with an overall inability to achieve anything meaningful might be contributing factors in your approval ratings?

Lets check out some of these visitors & their agencies. So on with the server logs…

We have a lot of hits from the US today, make sure and check out some of the search terms used on these as well to show you (a good idea of) who is looking up the info. One can’t blame a politician for checking the blogs about them - particularly when they have an approval rating lower than President Bush, who most call the “worst president ever.”

(Update 17:00) It’s interesting to note times of visits and links clicked compared to comments posted on the article. If you see anything worth noting please comment below.

Complete List 01

(Update: 18:05) OK, that did not take long for me to make someone mad. Sorry, but I have had to remove some images with “potentially identifying” information on them. I will post what I can soon.

(18:30) Images are back after minor “sanitizing” (don’t you just love lawyers?) I had to omit a couple of minor things that could lead to “specific computers” at “specific times” in order to avoid what could be “uncomfortable discussions” - So that’s what I did.

But Malagent, why are you writing about this?

A: It’s incredibly amusing, kind of like someone walking along and smacking the 41 baboons who signed this letter every time someone mentions it on a blog or in the tradition . Continue reading ‘Lettergate: Rush 2,100,100 - Harry Reid Zero’

Apparently the benevolent of the People’s Republic of have the best interests of their citizens in mind when banning such things as websites and blogs. We really would not want to corrupt the minds of the Chinese with something as dangerous as though, free will, or .

Or maybe it is the capitalism that we must protect them from. Money is evil and it will corrupt their minds as well.

Whatever the case, I can’t consider the Chinese to be part of my Audience because the Great FireWall of has stopped my blog’s electrons cold in their path to the workers Communist Paradise.
