Fake Coroner Can’t Park.,

Sometimes it just feels good to be the one that keeps someone from getting away with it.
One year ago today I had the pleasure of placing a boot (Vehicle Immobilizer) on this van. The driver worked for a mortuary service that bought out the company I used to run. He also lived in the apartments. After several complaints I finally found the vehicle parked in an obvious no parking zone, right next to the sign in fact.
About 8 hours later I received several calls filled with screams and threats of legal action or having the Sheriff come visit me. Eventually, I received the final call asking that I come remove the boot and they would pay the fee. Click on the picure for the full size version and please share it with everyone.

ARTICLE 14. EAVESDROPPING

Sec. 14?1. Definition.
(a) Eavesdropping device.
An eavesdropping device is any device capable of being used to hear or record oral conversation or intercept, retain, or transcribe electronic communications whether such conversation or electronic communication is conducted in person, by telephone, or by any other means; Provided, however, that this definition shall not include devices used for the restoration of the deaf or hard?of?hearing to normal or partial hearing.
(b) Eavesdropper.
An eavesdropper is any person, including law enforcement officers, who is a principal, as defined in this Article, or who operates or participates in the operation of any eavesdropping device contrary to the provisions of this Article.
(c) Principal.
A principal is any person who:
(1) Knowingly employs another who illegally uses an
eavesdropping device in the course of such employment; or
(2) Knowingly derives any benefit or information from the illegal use of an eavesdropping device by another; or
(3) Directs another to use an eavesdropping device illegally on his behalf.

The 24 year old only son of former Vice President Al Gore was arrested for being stoned in a hybrid Toyota after being pulled over for speeding down a highway at 100 miles per hour. Okay, they called it “Suspicion of Drug Possession”. Can a hybrid even do 100 MPH?
According to sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino the Deputy smelled marijuana in Al Gore III’s eviromentally friendly car. A search of the vehicle turned up a virtual pharmacy including a small amount of marijuana in addition to Valium, Xanax, Vicodin, Adderall and Soma. Of course, there were no prescriptions found to go along with the party stash. Surely the courts will go easy on him for offsetting the marijuana’s hydrocarbon emissions with the use of a hybrid vehicle. Even at 100MPH it has to be less than your average “Intergalactic Ghetto Battle Cruiser”.
Although Al the 3rd was sober enough to identify himself as the former presidential hopeful turned environmental alarmist’s son, the sheriffs spokesman stated he received no special treatment.
It seems Gore did not spend all of his cash on dope or had saved enough on gas with his hybrid Toyota to afford the $20,000 bail and was released after about 12 hours in the pen.
Reuters seems to think it is relevant to mention a car accident the former presidential candidate’s some had been in when he was 6…
In 1989, aged six, Gore almost died when he was hit by a car, and required extensive surgery and physical therapy.
We can’t really blame Reuters for focusing on things like the car and the 1989 accident. After Daddy focused on the accident in his self Oscar winning fear generator. If only he had been arrested earlier maybe he could have had some Jail Time with Paris Hilton.
The sad truth is that this story will probably get mores links and Diggs than my stories on Education and Weapons of Mass Destruction. But my dear readers may prove me wrong on that?

This is a 20/20 show concerning Education in America and it’s shortcoming. As the Title Stupid In America implies, there is a problem.
The union run education monopoly has failed to educate the children in aAmerica and this is nothing short of fraud. This video is not the only source of information on the subject, however, it does an excellent job of giving a detailed overview and several examples of the system failing America’s children.
All too often we see videos depicting the “bad Apple” of law enforcement. As with any field there will be some bad people involved. This short video is a sobering look at what officers go through. The majority of police officers are good people who choose a very stressful and dangerous job. I have been there, I know what it’s like. The police do deserve more respect and I hope this video will show why.
According to Philly.com and the Associated Press New Haven, Conn., police are prohibited from asking about immigration status and the city offers federal tax help to immigrants. I think what they are saying here is “Illegal Immigrants” - seeing as how we have taken to calling criminals who inter the U.S. illegally - immigrants. I say we call them what they are. Criminals.
Now New Haven, Conn. city officials have approved a plan to offer illegal immigrants identification cards to allow them to open bank accounts and use other services that they are not entitled to due to their status as illegal and would be otherwise unavailable because of the lack of state issued drivers licenses or other IDs.
Supporters say the program will help safeguard the city’s estimated 15,000 illegal immigrants. If they can open bank accounts, immigrants will be less likely to carry large amounts of cash, a practice that makes them easy targets for robbers.
The program was approved by the Board of Aldermen and believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, in stark contrast to new laws in more than 90 other cities and counties in the nation that train police on enforcement of immigration laws, prohibit landlords from renting to illegals, and punishes businesses that employ them.
“It was really a vote that reflected our values as a community here in New Haven, values of hard work, values of acceptance, and values that we get tough things done when we work together,” Mayor John DeStefano said Tuesday.
$250,000 was accepted from a private organization to pay for the cards, which will be available to all residents at a cost ranging from $5 for children to $10 for adults. The article does not state who the private organization is. I would really like to know though. If anyone can find out please comment the post. Consider for a moment why they would even need this money if they charge for the cards. If you take half of the residents and multiply that by the cost of the cards you end up with $625,000! (125,000 / 2 = 62,500 * $10 = $625,000) now add the money from the private foundation and you now have about $875,000! Which is not a bad take for allowing criminals to use services they are not entitled to in the first place.
Steven Camarota, research director at the Center for Immigration Studies, a group that advocates for stricter immigration enforcement, said the cards were largely symbolic. Most illegal immigrants who want bank accounts or need city services have probably already found ways to get them, he said.
“It seems like the main thing that’s going on here is really just a statement by the city that it wishes to subvert U.S. immigration law with a largely meaningless gesture for illegals,” he said.
A statement by the city that it wants to subvert U.S. law? Sounds like we need to have some new politicians in New Haven.
