The Wichita State University College Republicans draw attention to the Illegal Immigration debate with an obstacle course. Apparently some people were a little upset by it.
Liberals protest things all the time, sometimes putting on quite a show in the process and often being very offensive. I can’t recall any news stories about them being offensive or whether they are appropriate. For some reason though liberals are often praised as “patriots” for their disturbing antics while Conservatives are ran off stage or get news stories about whether their demonstratiosn are “appropriate”. I would have attended myself had I know of the event beforehand. Continue reading ‘The Illegal Immigration Obstacle Course’

“Israel must be wiped off the map,” Iran president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said it himself. He has denied the Holocaust, and his actions are motivated by a dangerous apocalyptic view of Islam. Meanwhile, Islamic extremists are in hot pursuit of nuclear weapons as they stand as gatekeepers to the Persian Gulf oil flow. Closer to home, President Bush has stated that the greatest threat to America is nuclear terrorism.
So when do we stop with the appeasement and get this regime out of there? We don’t need to go to war with them necessarily but the leaders of Iran have got to go.
David Horowitz was one of the founders of the New Left in the 1960s and the editor of its most influential magazine, Ramparts. He is the author, with Peter Collier, of a number of bestselling dynastic biographies on the Rockefellers, the Kennedys, the Fords, and the Roosevelts. With Collier he also wrote Destructive Generation (1989), a chronicle of their break with the 1960s Left, that has been compared to Whittaker Chambers’ Witness and other classic works documenting a break from totalitarianism.
Among Horowitz’s more recent books are: Radical Son (1996), a memoir tracing his odyssey from “red-diaper baby” to conservative activist that George Gilder described as “the first great autobiography of his generation”; Uncivil Wars (2002), which chronicles his crusade against intolerance and racial McCarthyism on college campuses; Left Illusions (2003), a one-volume course on the history of our time from the Cold War to the war on terror; Unholy Alliance (2004), which examines the pact between radical Islam and the American Left; and The Professors: the 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America (2006), which reveals a shocking and perverse culture of academics who are poisoning the minds of today’s college students. Horowitz is also the author of The Politics of Bad Faith, How to Beat the Democrats, and The Art of Political War. The latter was described by White House political strategist Karl Rove as “the perfect guide to winning on the political battlefield.”

Sheik Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi - Muslims will Conquer Europe - Qatar TV July 28, 2007
“You will invade the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant it (to you). Then (you will conquer) Persia and Allah will grant it (to you). Then, you will invade Ar-Rum and Allah will grant it (to you). Then, you will invade The Dajjal and Allah will grant him (to you).” Nafi’ said to Jabir, “O Jabir! We do not believe that the Dajjal will appear until Ar-Rum is conquered.” [Ibid., no. 2028]
The land of Ar-Rum is Europe and Rome is its heart. The Messenger of Allah gave us the good tidings that we will conquer Rome, the capital of Christendom today, after the Muslims conquered the first capital of Christendom, Constantinople.
Imam Ahmad narrated that Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al-Aas said, “While we were around the Messenger of Allah) writing (the Hadith) the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam was asked ‘Which of these two cities will be conquered first, Constantinople or Romiyah (Rome)?’ He said, ‘The city of Heraclius will first be conquered.’ He meant Constantinople.” [Al-Hakim, Al-Mustadrak, vol. 4, p. 508. Update: As I’ve predicted the Officers involved in this incident have been cleared and are returning to duty. Take a poll here.
I’ve posted a few videos on YouTube concerning the Andrew Meyer Taser incident. Now I knew I would not be popular with my position on the incident. After all the majority of the YouTube users are young liberals, many of which love a good conspiracy theory. At least that’s been my experience. However, I was astonished at the response I have received. In addition to the obligatory “your a fascist”, “troll alert”, “you’re part of Skull & Bones” and “you’re a Bush lover” comments, I’ve also received a few dozen messages threatening my life. Now of course I don’t take these seriously, mainly due to the all caps and mangling of the English language.
Anyway, I’ll get to the point. Amongst all of the controversy, insults and now death threats I have had some productive conversations with a rare few.
Some of whom have requested more information or explanations of the information I have presented. Rather then continue to try and provide a condensed version that fits withing the 500 character limit of the YouTube comments that also wont allow URLs to be posted, I have decided to simply post what I can here. With any luck someone will find it useful.

Use of force continuum
Some information from Wikipedia
It may be known by any of several names, such as Control Continuum, Level-of-Force Model, Subject Resistance Matrix, etc..
A use of force continuum is a standard that provides law enforcement officials (such as public and private police officers, probation officers, corrections officers, and security officers) with guidelines as to how much force may be used against a resisting subject in a given situation. The purpose of these models is to clarify, both for officers and citizens, the complex subject of use of force by law officers. They are often central parts of law enforcement agencies’ use of force policies. Although various criminal justice agencies have developed different models of the continuum, there is no universal standard model.[1]
The first examples of use of force continua were developed in the 1980s and early 1990s.[2] Early models were depicted in various formats, including graphs, semicircular “gauges”, and linear progressions. Most often the models are presented in “stair step” fashion, with each level of force matched by a corresponding level of subject resistance, although it is
