David Horowitz - Turning the University Around

David Horowitz was one of the founders of the New in the 1960s and the editor of its most influential magazine, Ramparts. He is the author, with Peter Collier, of a number of bestselling dynastic biographies on the Rockefellers, the Kennedys, the Fords, and the Roosevelts. With Collier he also wrote Destructive Generation (1989), a chronicle of their break with the 1960s , that has been compared to Whittaker Chambers’ Witness and other classic works documenting a break from totalitarianism.

Among Horowitz’s more recent books are: Radical Son (1996), a memoir tracing his odyssey from “red-diaper baby” to conservative activist that George Gilder described as “the first great autobiography of his generation”; Uncivil Wars (2002), which chronicles his crusade against intolerance and racial McCarthyism on college campuses; Illusions (2003), a one-volume course on the of our time from the Cold to the on terror; Unholy Alliance (2004), which examines the pact between radical and the American ; and The : the 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America (2006), which reveals a shocking and perverse culture of academics who are poisoning the minds of today’s college students. Horowitz is also the author of The of Bad Faith, How to Beat the , and The Art of Political . The latter was described by White House political strategist Karl Rove as “the perfect guide to winning on the political battlefield.”

NBC Jealous of CNNs Planet In Peril

peril-on-itunes.jpgAfter a week or so of ’s “Planet In Peril” being broadcast nearly every hour, sold on iTunes & Amazon - broadcasts by candlelight in order to go . Of course they did not turn anything else off…

’s halftime
Thank goodness for YouTube, because words alone cannot express the complete lunacy of ’s halftime show Sunday night during the / game. To conserve , the hosts broadcast the show using candlelight. It’s a good thing they conserved all that because the rest of the segment wasn’t quite so . Not only was there a giant plasma TV screen on behind the hosts, the giant plasma TV screen was being used to show the reporter — , who was on assignment (live) from the ARCTIC CIRCLE. But don’t worry, ladies and gentlemen, probably purchased some fancy carbon credits! Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).

Perhaps both networks should read a little about Global Warming?

Absolute insanity!
Thanks !

Marine’s Dad Vows to Shut Down Westboro Baptist

Albert Snyder the father of a fallen Marine, has won $10.9 million in a against the for protesting at his son Matthew’s funeral. WBC is trying to turn this into a of and speech issue. If there is a good reason to have limits on the 1st Amendment these people and their actions are definitely it.

“Not only did you fail to stop our preaching, but our message has gone forth to the entire world,” the statement said.

“Thank God for the $10.9 million verdict!” Church officials said the verdict would have no effect on their picketing plans. They plan to protest at two Friday: one for Army Sgt. Scott Turner in Norton, Kan., and one for Army Staff Sgt. Larry Rougle in Kearns, Utah.

Create a Liberal - or Commie

Who would have thought that communism or communists could be dangerous? Apparently, communists are a choking hazard, contain small parts, and are not recommended for under three years old. This is according to the warnings on the Create a Commie. I think it’s good advice but I would up the age a little to about, oh let’s say 150 years or so.

Several famous Commies are printed on the package, such as Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Karl Marx, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Leon Trotsky. Feel free to create your own Portrait of Hillary Clinton.

Child Attacked Over Soldier Costume

On my way home tonight I was drawn into an incident that has me so angry that I could not even write about it until I calmed down a bit.

In a residential neighborhood I stopped at an intersection and witnessed several who appeared to be fighting a few yards from my vehicle. At first it did not seem real serious, however, one of the said something that caused me to pay more attention. He said “You’re a terrorist just like your dad, I’m going to kill you just like the is gonna kill him.” It was then that I realized what was going on. A young boy, probably 10 or 11 was dressed as a US , he was pinned on the ground while a group of four or five other boys where hitting and kicking him while at least two older people in costumes watched.

I my truck in the street and got out just as one boy picked up a softball sized rock and headed towards he boy pinned on the ground. He was yelling “MURDERER” over and over. I yelled at the boy with the rock who dropped it and ran as he saw me. The others did not stop attacking the boy on the ground until I pulled them off of him. It was at this point the two older people started screaming at me. “What are you doing to my boys, leave them alone!” They were the mothers of two of the attackers. I told them I was calling the police and they all ran off. Continue reading ‘Child Attacked Over Soldier Costume’

US Senate Visiting Smear Letter Post

I just wrote about the Harry Reid Smear letter and Rush Limbaugh’s auction a couple of hours ago. Thus far the response has been overwhelming, emails, comments etc. etc.. What is most interesting to me though is who the visitors are. I am obsessed with stats, so much so in fact that I check the server logs after some stories to see what response I get and who is looking. Today I found that within an hour of posting a story about the US I have a bunch of visitors on the site from the US . Now there are also visits from a barrackobama.com and hillaryclinton.com, maybe before it’s done I will have visits from all 41 from .

theories are not really my thing but it is interesting to see the interest the US has in this story. After all it does make at least 41 of them look very foolish including two presidential . Oh, did I say that? By the way, this is an excellent example of influencing our elected officials.

A quick message to the US visitors:

Welcome to Malagent.com - Senator , & others, I’m glad you decided to visit and I know my loyal readers would love to hear your views on this fascinating story. If you are one of the 41 Signators we would like to know if you are going to match ’s donation? Have you ever thought that stunts like this combined with an overall inability to achieve anything meaningful might be contributing factors in your approval ratings?

Lets check out some of these visitors & their agencies. So on with the server logs…

We have a lot of hits from the US today, make sure and check out some of the search terms used on these as well to show you (a good idea of) who is looking up the info. One can’t blame a politician for checking the blogs about them - particularly when they have an approval rating lower than President Bush, who most call the “worst president ever.”

(Update 17:00) It’s interesting to note times of visits and links clicked compared to comments posted on the article. If you see anything worth noting please comment below.

Complete List 01

(Update: 18:05) OK, that did not take long for me to make someone mad. Sorry, but I have had to remove some images with “potentially identifying” information on them. I will post what I can soon.

(18:30) Images are back after minor “sanitizing” (don’t you just love lawyers?) I had to omit a couple of minor things that could lead to “specific computers” at “specific times” in order to avoid what could be “uncomfortable discussions” - So that’s what I did.

America the Warmonger?

Seems like someone is always trying to convince me that the United States is the cause of every single or conflict throughout . More specifically, that President Bush is the man personally responsible for everything even remotely related to . Of course even attempting to refute any such claim results in a slew of insults and claims of Jingoism.

I’m no historian, however, it seems obvious (to me at least) that predates the existence of the President Bush and even the United States. The first instance of I know of is the Border between Umma and Lagash in 2500 BC which was a few thousand years before American Revolutionary War from 1775-1783. This does not stop people from making such unqualified statements as “America is the most violent country in ” or “No nation has ever invaded as many countries or killed as many people as the U.S.” and no one can ever provide any evidence of this.

Every American has the right and (in my opinion) responsibility to stand up for what they believe in. It is possible and even very effective to disagree with American foreign policy without lies and misrepresentation.

After several weeks and dozens of hours of research I have found that this is going to consume much more time than I anticipated. Therefore, this is and will remain for sometime, a work in progress. I’ve decided to go ahead and publish it while I’m working on it as the majority of what I have is either aesthetic or just filling in the blanks. I’ve been as impartial and thorough as possible, if you find any errors or omissions of fact, leave a comment (with sources or references if possible) and I will research & correct it. Casualty counts are often disputed, approximated and/or unknown. The most reliable are listed where available. Ongoing conflicts will most likely end up in higher casualty counts, those posted are current as of October 2007.

Prehistory—1000BC

  • ca. 2500—2450 BC Border wars between Umma and Lagash
  • ca. 2330 conquest of Sumer by Lugalzagesi
  • 2300 BC conquests of Sargon of Akkad
  • ca. 1720 BC Kassite attacks on Babylon
  • 1650—1600 BC conquests of Hattusili I and Mursili I
  • 1600 BC Hyksos conquest of Egypt
  • 1600 BC Xia-Shang in China
  • 1430—1350 BC Kaska invasions of Hatti

Vegan Teacher To File Charges Over Milk

If this guy doesn’t reside on the far than no one does…

Dave Warwakis started a new lifestyle in January, now he wants to force it upon the students at Fox River Grove Middle School where he is an art teacher. He encourages his students not to eat meat, discusses animal cruelty issues and has passed out copies of a John Robbins book titled “The Food Revolution, - How Your Diet Can Help Save Your Life and the World.”

Vegan MoonbatThat’s not enough for Warwak, he has demanded that the school district remove all milk and other animal products from the lunch menu. He has said he will file child endangerment charges against the school district for promoting milk and animal products as part of a healthy diet.

Lou Bianchi, (McHenry County State’s Attorney) stated:

“We will listen to just about anybody,” - “It sounds pretty unusual. I’d look at the endangerment statute again. But you have to prove intent. They’re just trying to feed kids.”

Warwak was asked to leave the school after he refused to stop the discussions with students.

His efforts have gained praise from animal rights groups.

Warwak described himself as a former fishing guide who sold his boat and tackle.

Milk PosterI have to wonder why he “sold his boat and tackle” for someone else to use? Does that not mean someone else just took his place hurting the poor defenseless fish? One would think he could simply throw away his gear to protect the fish. Meanwhile, he should really stop pushing his ridiculous ideas on the in our . If a teacher is worried more about preventing the from drinking milk then teaching class, I think this qualifies as part of the problem in our public schools.

Poll - Are the 9/11 Conspiracy Theorists Crazy?

9/11 Conspiracies
The 9/11 conspiracies have been seemingly getting more and more far fetched. This could lead one to think of some sort ofgrandiose type delusional disorder being involved. I know what I think, but I would like to see what others think too.

I encourage you to comment on why you think they are or are not.
