I am really just stunned by this. It is amazing that people are so scared of this woman that they are literally grasping at anything that provides even the slightest hope of destroying her.
Glenn Beck puts it very well on his CNN.com Commentary: The Sarah Palin smear-fest:
“Sarah Palin believes God told her to go to war with Iraq!”
There has been some hard-core journalistic malpractice on this one. The Associated Press ran this headline about a speech she gave at her church: “Palin: Iraq war ‘a task that is from God’”
In the story, they omit the first part of the sentence they’re quoting along with the entire previous sentence for good measure.
Here are her actual words: “Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending them out on a task that is from God. That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.”
Palin is clearly praying that we’re doing the right thing in Iraq, something sensible for an introspective woman of faith concerned about the lives of our troops to do. She’s not saying that she just received a text message from heaven’s BlackBerry ordering her to launch missiles. Sorry to disappoint you.
And for those of you who think politicians asking God for guidance is offensive, might I remind you of this famous politician’s prayer:
“Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just. And make me an instrument of your will.” –Barack Obama
“Oh but it’s free!” I hear that in defense of socialist medical plans all the time. Apparently HillaryCare is not free - someone would have to pay for it and it’s not going to be me. I don’t want medical insurance and Hillary’s communist plan would not change that.
So when you vote this year keep these phrases in mind. “enforcement mechanisms” and “going after peoples wages.”
I know I’m a bit late in posting this, but I’ve taken some time off and I’m back now. The actions of Code Pink and other Liberal Extremists have convinced me to support more Republicans this election year. Not only with buts but also with financial contributions. Normally I do not donate much money to political candidates or groups - this time around though I’m hoping that at least one of these lunatic liberals knows that their actions have led to more money for Republicans.
After watching this video and some others like it, I am left wondering why this is tolerated? Why do the police in this video do nothing while these whackos block entrance to a public building? If the police are going to do nothing in these situations then we don’t need the police - the entire department should be fired. I don’t care if it’s the city dictating their actions or not.

Liberal extremists on the City Council of Berkeley, California recently passed a resolution labeling brave United States Marines as unwelcome and uninvited visitors within the city’s boundaries. According to the Sacramento Bee, “… City Council … labeled military recruiters stationed [in Berkeley] as ‘intruders’ and pronounced them a ‘violent influence’ on the city’s youth”Additionally, the Sacramento Bee reported, “It [the Berkeley City Council] also gave the anti-war group Code Pink a permanent parking space in front of the recruiting office, from which it could stage its frequent protests.” (Sacramento Bee, 2/12/08)
Senate Democrats are blocking the Senate from saying anything official about this situation and allowing this outrageous insult by the city of Berkeley to go unanswered.
