Several Muslims debate the fate of Muslims who reject Islam while the audience votes on the Matter. The viewers were asked this question:
- What is the best way to deal with apostates who converted from Islam?
- through dialog only
- killing them
- leave it up to the legal system
Those in the studio were asked if a Muslim has the liberty to change his religion or not. The results were 76% no, 24% yes.
One guest on the show, Dr. Gamel Al-Bana, makes some very good points - although they were not well received by some of the others.
Apostasy is commonly defined as the rejection of Islam in word or deed by a person who has been a Muslim.
The four major Sunni and the one major Shia Madh’hab (schools of Islamic jurisprudence) agree that a sane adult male apostate must be executed.[1] They differ on the punishment for a female apostate - some schools calling for death and others for imprisonment. Whether Sharia laws governing apostasy are derived from the hadith traditions alone or also from the Qur’an is disputed. According to Wael Hallaq nothing of the apostasy law are derived from the Qur’an, although the jurist al-Shafi’i interpreted the Quranic verse [Qur'an 2:217] as providing the main evidence for apostasy being a capital crime in Islam.

I’ve decided to join the crowd of those that have a copy of Fitna posted. I’ll wait to see if I too get some persuasion from the “Religion of Peace” to remove it.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the video as an “offensively anti-Islamic film”, “hate speech” and “incitement to violence.”
Following is the text of the statement by UN SG Ban Ki-moon on the film Fitna:
I condemn, in the strongest terms, the airing of Geert Wilders’ offensively anti-Islamic film. There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence. The right of free expression is not at stake here. I acknowledge the efforts of the Government of the Netherlands to stop the broadcast of this film, and appeal for calm to those understandably offended by it. Freedom must always be accompanied by social responsibility.
The United Nations is the centre of the world’s efforts to advance mutual respect, understanding and dialogue. We must also recognize that the real fault line is not between Muslim and Western societies, as some would have us believe, but between small minorities of extremists on different sides with a vested interest in stirring hostility and conflict.
It baffles the mind to think that pointing out that Islam has violent roots in the Quran is considered an “incitement to violence”. If it’s untrue then how is it inciting violence from such a “peaceful” religion?
It’s sad to see the LiveLeak video pulled due to threats of violence along with a few others around the net. However, it’s encouraging to see the growing number of sites that have it posted in spite of (or perhaps due to) the threats and censorship elsewhere.

“Oh but it’s free!” I hear that in defense of socialist medical plans all the time. Apparently HillaryCare is not free - someone would have to pay for it and it’s not going to be me. I don’t want medical insurance and Hillary’s communist plan would not change that.
So when you vote this year keep these phrases in mind. “enforcement mechanisms” and “going after peoples wages.”

More hysteria over the world melting and flooding at an ever increasing pace. If even a quarter of what they say is true I think we would have drown already. For at least 30 years they have been screaming about rising sea levels and drastically increasing temperatures. It’s turned out to be about .7 degrees over the last century. Whatever, I’m going to go drive aimlessly around town in my Hummer dragging a boat. That ought to make Al Gore angry
Now that Al Gore has been awarded the Nobel Peace prize for his efforts in deceiving the masses - I have decided that gathering large quantities of fuel oil and burning it at all hours strictly to generate CO2 for the atmosphere is a good idea, I think I will get right on that - perhaps I can catch up with the emissions from Gore’s private jet. When I was a small child I decided I was a Republican while following the 1979 elections. I was impressed with Ronald Reagan then and throughout his two terms as President of the United States. In my lifetime I don’t think there has been a better leader and I have been hoping to see one come along. This election brings hope for me in the form of Fred Thompson, who I feel would be very close to what we had with Reagan.

The Wichita State University College Republicans draw attention to the Illegal Immigration debate with an obstacle course. Apparently some people were a little upset by it.
Liberals protest things all the time, sometimes putting on quite a show in the process and often being very offensive. I can’t recall any news stories about them being offensive or whether they are appropriate. For some reason though liberals are often praised as “patriots” for their disturbing antics while Conservatives are ran off stage or get news stories about whether their demonstratiosn are “appropriate”.
